Sheriff Steve Tompkins began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in Massachusetts. He served previously as the Chief of External Affairs, where he was responsible for the day–to–day management of the department’s operations.

Patrick Heintz has worked with incarcerated populations for over 20 years. Beginning as a child care worker in a maximum security Department of Youth Services facility, he spent the majority of his career at the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department as a counselor and corrections officer.

David Lanoie enjoyed a distinguished three-decade career in Massachusetts corrections. He served as a Corrections Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Internal Legal Counsel, Chief of Staff, Superintendent, and Special Sheriff under six elected Sheriffs in three counties.

Superintendent Christine Elow

Superintendent Christine Elow served in the U.S. Navy for four years before beginning her law enforcement career in 1995 as an officer with the Cambridge Police Department. She served in the Patrol Division and oversaw the Professional Standards Unit, where she was responsible for receiving, processing, and investigating complaints made against members of the department.
