Jack Wilborn joined the Glendale Police Department as a reserve officer in the mid 1980s because he wanted to serve his friends, family, and neighbors through volunteer work. In his department, reserve officers performed nearly the same role as active duty police.

Chief Sylvia Moir (Ret.)

Chief Moir began her law enforcement career in 1990 as an officer for the Sacramento Police Department. Over the course of 18 years, Moir served in every division of the department including Metro Operations, Special Investigations, and the Office of the Chief.

Judge Mary Helen Maynard (Ret.)

Judge Marry Helen Maynard (Ret.) began her legal career in 1979 as an attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1989, she became the City Attorney and Prosecutor for Nogales, Arizona.

  The son of a Holocaust survivor, Finn Selander grew up knowing he wanted a career in law enforcement, fighting for truth and justice. The TV shows of his youth inspired him to help society.

Kurt Altman, Assistant U.S. Attorney (Fmr.)

Kurt Altman worked for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for close to 6 years where he was responsible for prosecuting hundreds of criminal cases ranging from homicide and capital cases to complex white collar matters. In 2001, he became the Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona.

Det. Sgt. J. Gary Nelson (Ret.) began his law enforcement career in 1975 as an officer with the Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona. He initially worked as a patrol officer for three years before serving as a burglary and theft detective.

Adam Zickerman began his legal career in 2001 at the Office of the Attorney General in Lansing, Michigan. In 2002, he became Deputy Attorney with the Apache County Attorney’s Office in Arizona.

Deputy Sheriff Jay Fleming (Fmr.)

For 15 years, Jay Fleming fought against the burgeoning drug trade as a police officer in Spokane, Washington. He trained undercover narcotics officers and hired out to other departments across the Northwest, conducting long-term undercover investigations for murder, drugs, and money laundering cases.

Chief Jennifer Tejada (Ret.)

Chief Jennifer Tejada (Ret.) began her law enforcement career in 1995 as an officer with the Novato Police Department in California. In 1997, she was appointed to the California Advisory Commission on Sexual Assault Victim Services where she established a sexual-assault prevention program for young women in Novato.
