Kimberly Cheney was elected State’s Attorney of Vermont’s Washington County in 1968 and Attorney General of Vermont in 1972.    

City Attorney Pete Holmes

After nearly 25 years of working as a business litigation attorney, Peter Holmes was elected to be the Seattle City Attorney, the only elected city attorney in Washington state. He serves as Seattle’s misdemeanor prosecutor and has supervisory control of all of the city’s litigation.

Chief Norm Stamper (Ret.)

  Norm Stamper was a police officer for 34 years, the first 28 in San Diego, and the last six as Seattle’s police chief. In his 28 years with SDPD Norm rose quickly through the ranks and as deputy chief sen/ed in each of the department’s bureaus.

lnspector Arnold Byron (Ret.)

  Arnold J. “Jim” Byron worked as a United States Customs Inspector at Ports of Entry in Minnesota and Washington State from 1967 until he retired. For over 30 years he searched vehicles, cargo, and people for illegal contraband. Byron is a volunteer with the King County Bar Association Drug Policy Project in Seattle, Washington.  

James Doherty, Chief Prosecutor (Fmr.)

Jim Doherty has worked as a prosecutor, corrections officer, and public defender. In total, he has been practicing law for over 30 years, including  as a felony public defender in Oregon,  a municipal prosecutor for several cities in Washington, and as the Chief Prosecutor in the Attorney General’s office in American Samoa.    

Chief Betty Taylor (Ret.)

Betty Jane Taylor is a retired Chief of Police for the Winfield Police Department in Missouri. She was honored as the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2001.

Deputy Sheriff Darren Ullmann

Darren Ullmann is a Deputy Sheriff with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Ullmann has been with the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office since 2001 and he has worked in search and rescue, training, court security, and narcotics: specifically focusing on methamphetamine-enforcement and undercover assignments with informants.

Sheriff Sue Rahr (Ret.)

Sue Rahr began her law enforcement career in 1979 as a patrol officer in the King County Sheriff’s Office. She served in Precincts Two and Three, where she worked undercover narcotics assignments for 5 years.

Art Howell began his career in the Racine WI Police Department in 1984. He served in a number of roles including gang unit officer, traffic investigator, detective, and public information officer.

Dr. Jim Nolan

  James (Jim) Nolan served in the Wilmington, Delaware police department for 13 years, seven of those years in the drug unit investigating drug conspiracy cases.
