Sheriff Steve Tompkins began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in Massachusetts. He served previously as the Chief of External Affairs, where he was responsible for the day–to–day management of the department’s operations.

Patrick Heintz has worked with incarcerated populations for over 20 years. Beginning as a child care worker in a maximum security Department of Youth Services facility, he spent the majority of his career at the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department as a counselor and corrections officer.

David Lanoie enjoyed a distinguished three-decade career in Massachusetts corrections. He served as a Corrections Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Internal Legal Counsel, Chief of Staff, Superintendent, and Special Sheriff under six elected Sheriffs in three counties.

Superintendent Christine Elow served in the U.S. Navy for four years before beginning her law enforcement career in 1995 as an officer with the Cambridge Police Department. She served in the Patrol Division and oversaw the Professional Standards Unit, where she was responsible for receiving, processing, and investigating complaints made against members of the department.

John Amabile has years of experience as a prosecutor, a public defender, and now a private attorney. He was an Assistant Attorney General from 1982-1986 in the Criminal Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office.  

  Ken’s law enforcement career began in 1995, as one of the first officers hired under the DOJ/COPS Program. He worked the next 15 years in the Brockton Police Department.  

Chief Michael Botieri began his law enforcement career in 1985 as an officer with the Plymouth Police Department in Massachusetts. In 1989, he was elevated to the rank of sergeant and was assigned to the Patrol Division.

Regina Hufnagel joined the Army Military Police Corps as a reservist in 1996 when she was a senior in high school.
