Mike Butler began his 35 year law enforcement career as a patrol officer with the Boulder Police Department in Colorado. He later transferred to the Longmont Public Safety Department, where he eventually became Public Safety Chief.

Bobby Kimbrough began his law enforcement career in 1984 as a public safety officer for the for the Winston-Salem Police Department in North Carolina. In 1987, he became an arson investigator with the Winston-Salem Fire Department and quickly rose to the position of assistant fire marshal.
